Frequently Asked Questions Thank you very much for supporting the HKANC 39th Anniversary Gala on Feb 11, 2023 at the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco. All funds raised will be used directly to support HKANC‘s services and programs. Here are some event details which might be helpful in planning your evening. 1. What time is registration? Gala doors open promptly at 5:30 PM with a networking cocktail reception at Gallery 1 & 2, and Dinner follows at 6:30 PM in the Ritz-Carlton Ballroom. 2. When will I receive my tickets for the event? No tickets will be distributed for the event. Instead, a guest list and name tags with table assignment information will be created for admission to the gala. Just provide your name or the name of your party to our volunteers when you arrive. 3. Is there any coat check services? Yes, a coat check service is available next to the event entrance. 4. Are drinks included in the ticket price? HKANC will be serving white & red wines. A hotel cash bar is also available. Please drink responsibly. 5. What is the attire for the event? Black tie and red carpet attire is highly encouraged, but business formal is also appropriate. 6. Where can I find parking? A reduced valet parking fee of $40.00 per car will be extended to all guests attending the event. Valet parking is first come, first serve for non-hotel guests at the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco. Please purchase the valet parking pass in advance to avoid wait time. In addition, there are other garages within a short walk from the event. 7. Do you have any special room rates for the event guests? Please contact Ms. Yani Lee at yl@hkanc.com for details. 8. What portion of the sponsorship or event ticket is tax-deductible? Meet Event Emcee / Performer Event Emcee: Ms. Mina Li, KTSF TV Host Performer: A lice and the Wave Band Alice Lui, an international versatile singer, musician, composer, and arranger is originally from Hong Kong, learned to play the piano at the age of five, attended St. Paul’s Convent school, became a professional muso at the age of 16 and went on tour performing all over Southeast Asia. At the tender age of 19, she became the youngest female bandleader in one of the very best famous night club; The Hong Kong”Mocambo” . After Alice migrated to San Francisco, she formed “Alice and the Wave” band. The band plays a variety of music from 1940’s to today’s top hits, she can sing in multiple languages . Over time, her multi-lingual combo built up such strong word of mouth, Bay Area FM 96.5 K.O.I.T. rated her band “Sensational Band of the Orient.”
