  • Event Recap | AGM Luncheon 1.8.2020

    Annual General Meeting and Directors Election (2020 - 2022) were concluded successfully on Jan 08, 2020. This year, we have over 35 members & Directors to join the meeting at W San Francisco. In the election of the 2020—2022 Board, we have FIVE (5) nominees to fill the Board vacancies and the members could vote for up to FIVE (5) nominees. Corporate Members were entitled to ONE (1) vote each regardless of the number of representatives attending. Each attendee had the opportunity to view our board candidates' bios and meet the board members. The luncheon was later served with an exquisite 3-course meal prepared by W San Francisco. Before announcing the election result, HKANC Chairman, Mr. Wilson Lau shared the mission and the future focus of the association with the attendees. He mentioned HKANC will continue to offer diverse programs and networking opportunities to the members and community. Members are expected to see the new face of the association in 2020.   • National U.S Business Assn (NUSHKBA) Caucus in LA

    The National U.S. Hong Kong Business Association (NUSHKBA) founded in 2004 with the objectives to facilitate and assist with the development of Member Organizations and promote the development of new Member Organizations throughout the United States. The Annual Caucus provide platforms for the Heads of the Hong Kong Business Associations in the same region to meet and to brainstorm at regional level on the future direction of the Business Associations. Association leaders are encouraged to raise new ideas, exchange information, share experiences and initiate greater co-operation.

  • Think Asia, Think Hong Kong 2019

    A mega international promotion organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) to highlight Hong Kong’s pivotal role in connecting Asia’s vibrant and expanding markets to the rest of the world. It was successfully held on September 19-20, 2019 in Los Angeles, attracting a strong show of support from the business community in the United States with more than 1500 participants. HKANC is proud to be one of the supporting organizations for this event. The day before the symposium (Sept 19), a high-level gala dinner was held at Vibiana. It was attended by more than 400 prominent business leaders, government officials, entrepreneurs and investors from the U.S. and Hong Kong. Hong Kong Michelin-starred chef Albert Au presented a special menu prepared together with LA celebrity chef Neal Fraser, owner of Vibiana. The gala dinner also featured a performance by Hong Kong-born American singer Coco Lee, she is the first Chinese artist to perform at the Oscars. "Think Asia, Think Hong Kong" (Sept 20) a full-day symposium included panel discussions on a range of topical issues such as Hong Kong’s advantages for starting a business in Asia, dispute resolution, fintech development, and healthcare innovations. The event also addressed topics such as the acceleration in smart living, developments in digital entertainment, the integration of design technology and business strategy, and Hong Kong’s strength as a professional services provider in the financial services sector. "Think Asia, Think Hong Kong" offered useful intelligence on the latest industry trends and market potential, while highlighting the advantages available for US enterprises looking to utilize Hong Kong as a springboard to tap into business opportunities in Asia.
