Newly appointed Chairwoman Margaret Wong highlighted Hong Kong’s unique role as a global super-connector with world-class financial services, low tax rates, and strong talent resources. Margaret also outlined her goals to continue to lead the association’s growth, expand the association’s influence over the next three years and strengthen business ties between the U.S. and Hong Kong.

The event’s theme, Taste of HongKong: Food and Wine, A Bridge to the World," celebrated Hong Kong’s culinary excellence. Amy Tong, Senior Counselor to Governor Newsom, Acting Director Ms. Iris Wong of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, San Francisco, and City of Millbrae Mayor Mr. Anders Fung shared their insights on the importance of Hong Kong's global influence and its strategic economic ties with the U.S.

Renowned chef Martin Yan described Hong Kong as a "Food Paradise" with over 18,000 restaurants, showcasing its rich cultural and culinary heritage. Panelists Traci Dutton, Leilani Baugh, and David Lei also shared insights on how the vibrant culinary scenes of Hong Kong and other Asian countries serve as powerful bridges to global connection and understanding.

The event also featured a surprise Sand River Cashmere fashion walk, showcasing modern and traditional AAPI-inspired designs, adding an element of excitement and glamour to the evening.

Special thanks to all Board of Directors, gala sponsors, supporters, attendees, and volunteers for making the event a success!
