About The Event
You might have heard about China’s Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, or the GBA. What is its significance, and how can you benefit from it? What are the synergies between the GBA and the San Francisco/Silicon Valley Bay Area?
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Bay Area Council Economic Institute invite you to the release of a joint report on the connection between China’s Greater Bay Area and the San Francisco/Silicon Valley Bay area.
The GBA is a strategic development that links Hong Kong and Macao with nine major cities in Guangdong Province in China to create a powerhouse of economic activities, ranging from advanced manufacturing, tech and innovation to infrastructure and investment.
With a population of close to 80 million and the highest GDP per capita in China, the GBA is also a huge market waiting to be explored. In addition, the expanding links between the GBA and neighboring markets in Southeast Asia offer even wider business opportunities. Hong Kong plays a key role in connecting the GBA with international businesses. As an international financial and business hub, the city is the ideal springboard to access opportunities arising from the GBA.
